CURRICULUM BRIEF

 

Allah SWT said, “Indeed it is only the knowledgeable among His servants who truly fear Allah.” (35:28)

Mohammad (SAW) said, “Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim.”

 

Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu. All praise is due to Allah SWT only and sending the prayer and salutation to the last prophet Mohammad (SAW). 

Alhamdulillah, Madrasatun Noor (MN) is striving to achieve educational excellence since 2018 with the vision of creating a platform for Muslim boys and girls to acquire and practice the pure knowledge of Quran and Sunnah along with the standard knowledge of general subjects like English, Maths and Science. 

One of the major focuses of MN curriculum is to make the students confident in Arabic and in English along with having a strong edifice in the mother tongue. This ‘Tri Lingual Education’ curriculum will not only assist the student to excel in their individual career but will also aid them to be an International Da’yee who will comprehend the Quran and Sunnah in their original language and preach them in Bangla, Arabic or in English, In Shaa Allah. Keeping the MN focuses in mind, the curriculum has been developed in four different levels: 

 

 Level – 1: Pre-Tamhidi (Age limit 4 to 6)

1.         This is a three-year program. The aim of this level is to give the children an exposure of preliminary Islamic Akhlaq, manners, practice and the basic of trilingual language.

2.         To develop Reading, Listening, Spoken language and Writing skills of the students in general subjects, we follow the guidelines of Pearson Edexcel International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). For Quran and Arabic, we follow the guidelines of Islamic Institutions of Makkah and Madinah.

3.         At the end of this level, In Shaa Allah a student will 

a.  be able to read al-Qur’anul Kareem of Uthmani Moshaf with proper Tajweed and 

Makhraj;

b. complete the memorization of 17 Sura, Sura Jiljal to Sura Naas, following the recitation of Qari Minshawee;

c. complete the memorization and regular practice of 50 important Azgaar from ‘Hisnul Muslim’;  

d. be able to recognize, read and write all the alphabets, words and small sentences in

Bangla, Arabic and in English;

e. have the basic primary knowledge on Mathematics, Science and General Knowledge. 

 

Level – 2: Tamhidi (Age limit 7 to 11)

1.         This is a five-year program. The aim of this level is to give the students basic knowledge on Imaan, Aqeeda, Islamic Akhlaq & manners and assist them in the implementation of that knowledge by practicing in day-to-day life. 

2.         To develop Reading, Listening, Spoken language and Writing skill on Arabic, we follow Al-Arabiyyatulin Nashiyeen and books recommended by Imaam Saud University.

3.         To develop Reading, Listening, Spoken language and Writing skills in general subjects, we follow the guidelines of Pearson Edexcel International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

4.         At the end of this level, In Shaa Allah a student will 

a. complete the memorization of 6 Juzz, Juzz 25th to 30th, from al-Qur’anul Kareem;

b. complete the memorization and regular practice of more 50 important Azgaar from ‘Hisnul Muslim’;  

c. be able to understand, speak and write in all tri lingual languages normally;

d. have the working knowledge on Maths, General Science, Business & Commerce, Geography and History;

e. complete the memorization of 20 Hadith including the warrant of record and explanation as compiled by Imaam Nawabee;

f. have knowledge on Durusul Quran, Durusul Hadith, Usulul Quran, Usulul Hadith and

other important books on Fiqh, Aqeeda and Arabic grammar in Arabic.

 

Level – 3: Mutawassitah (Age limit 12 to 16)

1.         This is a five-year program. The aim of this level is to prepare the students for the Mutawassitah Exam and/or O levels as per the desire of the students.

2.         The aim of this level is to give the students sufficient knowledge on Imaan, Aqeeda, Islamic Akhlaq & manners and assist them in the implementation of that knowledge by practicing in day-to-day life.

3.         To develop Reading, Listening, Spoken language and Writing skill on Arabic, we follow series books of Imaam Saud University on Nahu, Sarf, Kiraiya, Ta’bir etc.

4.         To develop Reading, Listening, Spoken language and Writing skills in general subjects, we follow the guidelines of Pearson Lower Secondary Curriculum (PLSC).

5.         At the end of this level, In Shaa Allah a student will 

a. complete the memorization of 4 Juzz, Juzz 21st to 24th, from al-Qur’anul Kareem;

b. complete the memorization and regular practice of more 50 important Azgaar from ‘Hisnul Muslim’;  

c. be able to understand, speak and write in all tri lingual languages efficiently;

d. have the working knowledge on Maths, General Science, Business & Commerce, Geography and History;

e. complete the memorization of 20 Hadith including the warrant of record and explanation as compiled by Imaam Nawabee;

f. have knowledge on Durusul Quran, Durusul Hadith, Usulul Quran, Usulul Hadith and

other important books on Fiqh, Aqeeda and Arabic grammar in Arabic.

 

Level – 4: Sanaweyah (Age limit 17 to 18)

1.         This is a two-year program. The aim of this level is to prepare the students for the Universities of Makkah & Madinah and/or A levels as per the desire of the students. 

2.         The guidelines of Pearson Edexcel International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) are being taken as the standard of general subjects.

3.         At the end of this level, In Shaa Allah a student will 

a. have knowledge on Usulut Tafsir and Tafsirul Quran in Arabic;

b. have knowledge on the Hadidth books of ‘Siya Sittah’;

c. have knowledge on Usulul Fiqh and important books on Fiqh;

d. complete A level examination in any 6 subjects from Bangla, Arabic, English, Geography, History, Business studies, General Science and ICT.

Madrasatun Noor is committed to provide top quality blended education of the Quran, Sunnah and modern subjects to convey the authentic and practical Islamic knowledge, while at the same time enabling its students to face the contemporary challenges of the 21st century. MN will assess and re-evaluate every aspect of its academic model on an ongoing basis and will emphasize that they must strive their utmost to put the knowledge into practice. In the end, we like to recognize the contribution of our Ustaz and Ustazat for burning of their day-night time in preparing these research based comprehensive and progressive curriculum.
