NOOR WELFARE FUND

General.        Madrasatun Noor has a separate account and fund, named, ‘Noor Welfare’ fund for the financial assistance to needy students and employees. It offers the financial support under the followings:

1. Zakat Assistance;            
2. Sadaqa Assistance; and            
3. Qarde Hasana (QH).

Source of Fund.      The NW fund is collected primarily from the EC members, Advisory members, the Patrons and guardians of the Madrasa in the form of Zakat, Sadaqa and/or Qarde Hasana. Any well-wisher Muslimin & Muslimah may donate in this fund through authorize transaction channel.   

Support Area.          The fund is utilized for the following purpose:

1. Needy families of the students of this Madrasa;
2. Needy employees of this Madrasa;
3. Any orphan or Orphan-house;
4. Distressed neighbour of the Madrasa in case of any natural calamities;
5. For any emergency requirement, even Madrasa may take Qarde Hasana from NW Fund with prior approval from EC.

Procedure.   Eligibility criterion, fund disbursement procedure and Qarde Hasana reimbursement procedure are set. Head of Madrasa (HOM) is the custodian of NW fund. An applicant must apply to HOM in writing describing his financial condition, amount of support require, duration of the support and head of support (Zakat / Sadaqa / QH). Upon receive of the application for the support, HOM to discuss in the Admin & Account Meeting of the Madrasa and approve the application based on availability of fund. To support from Zakat, HOM to take the consent of Department of Qur’an & Arabic as an internal ‘Sharia body’.
